The team were recently in Playing Place, near Truro, conducting a ground investigation for a proposed residential development of four houses.
The investigation involved the sinking of 6 windowless sample boreholes to refusal, along with three trial pits with soakaway testing.
The investigation encountered highly weathered slates, making for excellent drainage potential with a high bearing capacity.
